If you want to host a website using XAMPP on the internet without a public IP address, you can use a service such as Ngrok or Pagekite to create a secure tunnel to your local server. These services allow you to expose your XAMPP web server to the internet without a public IP address.

To use Ngrok, follow these steps:

      1. Download and install Ngrok from https://ngrok.com/download
      2. Start your XAMPP server and make sure it’s running on localhost
      3. Open a command prompt or terminal window and navigate to the directory where you installed Ngrok
      4. Enter the command “ngrok http 80” to start a secure tunnel to your local server running on port 80
      5. Ngrok will generate a URL that you can use to access your website from anywhere on the internet

Note that Ngrok creates a new URL each time you start it, so you’ll need to update any links or bookmarks each time you use it. Additionally, Ngrok is a free service, but it does have some limitations on usage and features.

Hosting a website using XAMPP on the internet can be a bit tricky, especially if you don’t have a public IP address. However, it’s not impossible, and I’m here to guide you through the process.

First of all, it’s important to understand that hosting a website using XAMPP means that you’ll be using your own computer as a server. This can be a good solution for testing and development purposes, but it’s not recommended for production websites.

Now, let’s get into the steps:

      1. Get a domain name: The first thing you’ll need is a domain name. This is the address that people will use to access your website. You can purchase a domain name from a domain registrar, such as Namecheap or GoDaddy.
      2. Configure your domain name: Once you have your domain name, you’ll need to configure it to point to your computer’s IP address. This is done using a DNS (Domain Name System) service. You can use a free service such as No-IP to set up a dynamic DNS, which will keep your domain name linked to your changing IP address.
      3. Configure your router: You’ll need to configure your router to forward incoming requests to your computer. This is done by setting up port forwarding. You’ll need to forward port 80 (HTTP) and/or port 443 (HTTPS) to your computer’s local IP address.
      4. Set up XAMPP: You’ll need to set up XAMPP on your computer and configure it to serve your website. This is done by placing your website files in the htdocs directory and configuring Apache to serve them.
      5. Test your website: Once everything is set up, you can test your website by navigating to your domain name in a web browser. If everything is configured correctly, you should see your website.

Keep in mind that hosting a website using XAMPP is not as secure or reliable as using a professional hosting service. If you plan to host a production website, it’s highly recommended that you use a dedicated hosting service instead. But for testing and development purposes, this solution can work quite well. Good luck with your website!
